Southern New Jersey Family Law Firm

Although we are a leader in family law and have focused our practice as such, Adinolfi & Lieberman, P.A. also provides comprehensive legal services for our clients throughout New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania/ Philadelphia, including: wills, estate planning, probate, DYFS (Division of Youth & Family Services) matters, adoption and family law either in conjunction with a family law case or separately.

Wills, Estate Planning & Probate : The creation and implementation of an effective legally sound will or estate plan need not be complex or expensive. Our attorneys have substantial experience in the creation of estate plans, encompassing living wills, trusts, powers-of-attorney, asset protection, and the care of minor children for clients throughout New Jersey. A sound estate plan is the best way to ensure that your wishes are observed after death and your property distributed according to your wishes alone.

Adoption : The creation of a legal relationship of parent and child between persons who are not each other’s biological parent or child. There are also different types of a legal adoption. But whether you decide to go through an adoption agency or to adopt from a private person, a decree of adoption usually means that the legal relationship of the adopted child is completely severed with its biological parents and family. For all legal purposes, adopted children become the children of their adoptive parents. Our attorneys have substantial experience with adoption law in New Jersey.

DYFS (Division of Youth & Family Services) : The Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) is New Jersey’s child protection and child welfare agency within the Department of Children and Families. Its mission is to ensure the safety, permanency and well-being of children and to support families.  Parents have a fundamental, constitutionally protected interest in their children.  The State of NJ does have the power, however, to protect children if their mental or physical well-being is being harmed.  This gives New Jersey’s DYFS agency the power to remove children from the home if they deem necessary.  DYFS brings two types of legal actions against parents.  These are child abuse/neglect-protective servies and guardianship/termination of parental rights actions.  Kimberly Packman, Esq., an associate at Adinolfi & Lieberman, represents parents in these types of actions brought against them by the Division of Youth and Family Services.  The goal of parental defense attorneys representing parents is to help them to maintain or regain custody of their child/ren, or if that is not possible, to achieve a resolution of the case that will allow them to have a continued relationship with their child/ren.  Legal representation is important at every stage of the legal proceedings in these types of cases.
